At Brightful, our mission is to help everyone lives meaningfully by building communities where members can interact safely. To help us with this goal, we ask that all users engage one another in a friendly and positive manner to ensure the best experience for our entire community.

In addition to our User Agreement, we provide the following guidelines for our community. These guidelines fall under a common sense philosophy and apply to all user generated content and activity on our service.

To protect the integrity of our community, we at Brightful reserve the right to suspend any account at any time for any conduct that we determine to be inappropriate or harmful. Such actions may include: removal of content, a strike on the account, and/or suspension, and/or deletion of account(s).

Content is prohibited if it:

Breaks the Law

You must respect all applicable local, national, and international laws while using our services. Any content or activity featuring, encouraging, offering, or soliciting illegal activity is prohibited.

Is pornography, sexual, or suggestive content involving minors

Nudity and sexually explicity content or activities, such as pornography, sexual acts or intercourse, and sexual services, and suggestive content involving minors are prohibited.

Encourages or incites violence

Acts and threats of violence will be taken seriously. This includes attempts or threats to physically harm or kill others.

Hateful Conduct and Harassment

Hateful conduct is any content or activity that promotes discrimination, harassment, or violence based on race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender, age, and is prohibited.

Harassment is any content or activity that attempts to intimidate, degrade, abuse, or bully others, or creates a hostile environment for others, and is prohibited.

We prohibit using Brightful to facilitate hateful conduct or harassment, whether the targets are on or off Brightful. Individuals, communities or organizations that do so are not allowed to use our services.

Unauthorized Sharing of Private Information

Do not invade the privacy of others. It is prohibited to share content that may reveal private personal information about individuals, or their private property, without permission.

Impersonates someone in a misleading or deceptive manner

Content or activity meant to impersonate an individual or organization is prohibited.

Spam, Scams, and Other Malicious Conduct

Any content or activity that disrupts, interrupts, harms, or otherwise violates the integrity of Brightful services or another user’s experience is prohibited. Such activities include:

• Posting large amounts of repetitive, unwanted message or user reports
• Distributing unauthorized advertisements
• Phishing
• Defrauding others
• Spreading malware or viruses

Is information you know to be false, misleading or harmful

Do not post information that you know to be untrue. This includes sharing from sources known to be fake news, with the intention of misleading or promoting an agenda you know to be false.

Promotes Self-Harm

Any activity that may endanger your life or lead to your physical harm is prohibited. Posting anything that may encourage or lead others into self-harm is prohibited.
